Paper
A gentle system for dreams, wishes, and creative flow.
A gentle system for dreams, wishes, and creative flow.
Paper is more than a productivity app â itâs a thoughtfully designed app to store, grow, and celebrate your dreams, ideas, and inspirations.
At its core, Paper lets you:
Organize your desires into emotionally meaningful Pockets, like Pesto Pocket for vibrant ideas.
Create multiple Pools (wishlists) within each Pocket, like Always wanted childhood wishes.
Add multiple Wishes to each Pool, like a guitar .
Drop Ideas, Quotes, and Inspiration & hook (Attach) em' to your wishes or pools, like possible good options of guitars.
Because not everything in life is a task.
Some things are wishes, dreams, and slow-blooming ideas.
Paper exists for people who want more than check boxes â people who want a space to believe in their artist self.
Where most productivity apps focus on efficiency, Paper is designed for:
    ⚠Possibility, not pressure
    đ Happiness, not deadline stress
    đ± Growth, not grind
Built for people who:
Jot down ideas in the middle of the night
Save quotes from books theyâll never forget
Sketch out dreams with no deadlines
Want a digital space that respects their pace
Want to make their 14-yo version proud of em'
Pockets are the heart of Paper. Think of them as thematic containers that group your Pools into emotionally meaningful collections.
There are over 50+ types of Pockets, named after flavorful, character-rich themes like:
đą Pesto â Fresh, green, flavorfulâ vault full of vibrant ideas.
đĄ Mustard â Zesty and boldâ for spicy, standout collections.
đ€ Miso â Umami-rich and soulfulâ for your deepest thoughts..
𧥠Bisque â Creamy and elegantâ a vault for your smoothest concepts.
Each Pocket type subtly reflects either:
The kind of Pools it contains, or
The personality of the user creating it.
Itâs a creative framework â not just for storage, but for meaningful storytelling about your dreams.
Inside each Pocket, you create Pools â thematic wish-lists or spaces to organize your wishes in clean, beautiful lists..
Each Pool holds multiple Wishes.
A Pocket named Bisque might hold a Pool like âAndroid Apps I Want to Buildâ, where you add individual wishes such as âBuild a journal appâ or âDesign a focus timer.â
Some dreams deserve a spotlight. Thatâs why Paper lets you mark certain wishes as Must-Haves.
These are the wishes that matter most â the ones you canât let go of, the ones that define your direction.
đ How it works:
You can mark any wish inside a Pool as a Must-Have.
Must-Haves are always shown at the top in their Pool.
On the appâs home page, you can also see all Must-Have Wishes across Pockets, giving you a snapshot of your highest priorities
Not all dreams are a one-step task. Many are journeys â built over time, shaped by passing thoughts, quotes, and inspirations.
Thatâs where Drops come in.
Each Wish or Pool can have its own Drops â a flowing stream of:
    đĄ Ideas
    âïž Quotes
    đ Inspirations
Drops work as a helper in the process behind a dream.
For a Wish like âBuild a journal app,â you can drop UI sketches, name ideas, competitor notes, and motivating quotes you find along the way.
Personal Bucket List for bigger dreams â a space for the 100 things you want to do before you die. Adventures, milestones, and life-long goals all go here.
Sometimes a photo says more than words. Piclopedia is your private visual library of:
    Personal moments
    Artistic reflections
    Talents youâre proud of
Whether itâs a photo from a bike ride, a hand-written poem, or your first app wireframe â Piclopedia reminds you who you really are.
Paper is proudly built with a focus on clean architecture â designed for Android users who value reliability and minimalism.
Built With:
đ» Pure Kotlin â Modern, expressive, and safe.
đ XML â For creating structured and adaptable UI layouts.
đ± Android SDK 29 -36 (v10-v16)â Targeted specifically for Android platforms, optimized for local-first usage.
To make Paper scalable and cleanly engineered, weâve built and open-sourced some libraries used internally:
𧩠Slate
A smarter way to handle bottom sheets in Android.
RecyclerView-like architecture for building dynamic bottom sheets
    Support for gesture-based back navigation
Customizable overlays when a sheet is open (blurred, dimmed, or colored)
Smooth lifecycle handling and modular sheet architecture
Slate helps us implement sheet flows across Paper â with elegance and full control.
đ§ UnitxChunk
A utility-rich toolkit packed with modular components and smart helpers that make development faster and cleaner.
Includes classes like:
Radio Image â a compact, styled image-based radio selector.
Net Observer â a lightweight connectivity observer.
More chunks for UI state handling, text processing, and formatting.
Itâs a collection of bite-sized tools that improve how we write everyday code, making Paper easier to maintain and extend.
